Meet Ga'Nyrra, a vibrant 9-year-old who loves to dance. She twirls and leaps with a joy that lights up any room. But behind her graceful movements is a story of loss—Ga'Nyrra lost her mother in 2016 when she was just 11 months old. She never had the chance to know her mother’s warmth, but her legacy lives on in every step Ga'Nyrra takes.
I became her caregiver, stepping into a role I never expected but wholeheartedly embraced. Raising her has been a journey of love, strength, and healing. There have been challenges—questions I couldn’t always answer, moments of sadness, and the reality of navigating life without her mother. But there has also been hope.
That’s why I founded Timely Treasures Charity—to ensure that children like Ga'Nyrra and the caregivers who love them never feel alone. Through support, mentorship, and community, we provide children with the emotional, financial, and physical resources they need to thrive. One day, after finishing a dance routine, Ga'Nyrra looked up and said, “Do you think my mom is watching me dance? I hope she’s smiling.” And I know in my heart—she absolutely is. 💜
